We had a massive, well laid out room, and they had lockable bike storage which was a lifesaver for us. The breakfast was a great start to our morning, quick service and good value.

Charming spot with great food!
Had a lovely overnight stay. The room was cozy and clean, though a bit snug for two. The breakfast was a win, especially the local Otter Lager! Staff were super friendly, always ready to help. Just wished the walls were a tad thicker—could hear everything from the hall. Still, it’s a charming place!

The location near Dartmoor offers easy access to stunning landscapes and hiking trails, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. The building itself retains a charming historic vibe, providing a cozy atmosphere for relaxation after a long day out.
The lack of onsite parking created a hassle, forcing us to seek public lots further away. the shower in room 10 had a low pressure and the shower height was inconvenient, which may be an issue for taller guests. Light intrusion from outside made it hard to achieve a dark room for sleep, despite the curtains being pulled, and a blackout blind would greatly help with this. the kitchen's early closure on our first night left us without food options after a long journey.

Good vibes, but needs better service
The atmosphere was awesome and the reception staff were super friendly, which was great! Our rooms were nice, but service was a bit lacking, felt short-handed. The cream tea was kinda disappointing, scone wasn't as good as I remembered. The bar was handy for cheap eats tho!
